Stock 4A-GE specification
I'd like to determine as most as possible, about this engine.

At the beginning of the question, is this graph looks properly:

Is there a graph which presents the fuel consumption depending on rpm ?

What is the longevity of this unit ?

neither of those dyno plots is a 4AGE... (they appear to be the same) The torque output exceeds most 4AGE engines capability.

This is what a stock 4AGE plants (@ the flywheel)

Longevity... I know quite a few original 4AGE engines exceeding 200k miles

thanks my Friend.

U are right it's actually a real problem. I have never seen two the same dynos.
And how long does this engine lives on average ?
I assume that this data concerns road usage ?

Mine did 270000 km of which at least 10000km on circuit/rallyish events Thumbs up!

wow nice result - thanks for info. I read that these engines have a long lifespan. Seems that this is itrue.
I still have in mind when I spoke with Porsche 914 owner once, his engine can withstand only 5000-6000km

I'm close to 180'000km and no problem regarding the engine yet...
mix between ultra short driving/long distance and track.

Mine had 400 000 km when I bought it, it ran very good. I guess it haven't lost more than 5-10% of power.
Engine electronics is bigger problem, headn and short block can last, AFM and similar stuff cant.

Thanks guys, I hope to create statistics which will have average value and something like lifetime random variance. Therefore every information useful. And those relating directly to failure the most. Is there a safe rpm limit beyond which gamble begins ? or cutting off will not allow for that ?

MOST of the ECU's cut out @ 7500 rpm. As you can see from the dyno chart the engine makes peak power @ 6600. So... it doesn't ever break out of its safe operating zone since the camshafts limit power production before the ECU limits the rpm range.

Hm thats interesting U see...
quoting from autocar road test from 1984:
"capability of reving to no less than 7700 rpm"
But it might be true, my FSM says the tachometer accuracy is + /-200rpm
btw
I can also simulate this ...
I assume, therefore, that this is rather +200 rpm ?
