I just wonder, how can he operate the car in drifts considering the fact that he has an 18-speed gearbox or something? Do you have to use all of them? Any truck specialists over here?

Any truck specialists over here?No. AFAIK, 1st gear is only used when stopped on a hill while towing a fully loaded trailer. If it's trailerless it can easily start in anything up to probably around 5th gear due to the huge amounts of torque it puts out.
