Lived and travelled such countries with similar laws, though convenient for enthusiast like us I've also seen the consequences of such regulations and they are deadly

I agree better having MOT than getting killed by a car that is falling apart...

It's not that bad here we not like most 3rd world countries, only in the deep rural areas are there falling apart cars but those cars are used off road.

We have police Road blocks everywhere checking car licenses, drivers licenses and cars, if there is 3 things wrong with your car they impound it. Otherwise we just some hectic fines for damaged stuff on the cars

We just don't have the mot law for emissions thats what I was talking about

pretty much.... and the first tune on it was very polluting... before I knew to dial back injector open time to get proper idle....


But... with some good... some bad... for those that remember... the PO used kouki doors, and regulators, but with zenki glass. Now this isn't a problem with the AE86, but with the E7 cars, zenko versions had door mounted mirrors (on the door skin), while kouki versions had wing mounted (leading corner of door). The glass is slightly different........

Well, the window stop broke...



so now the glass can go up too far....

So it looks like I'll be MAKING the replacement! I've ordered a 1" round stock by 1 foot long piece of UHMW... and I'll use Jesse's lathe to turn it to size......

concerning inspection(vehicle road worthy), and/or emissions testing.....

When I lived in Pennsylvania we didn't have to worry about emissions at all, but there was a vehicle inspection for brakes, suspension, excess rust, basic overall road worthiness.

In Oregon there isn't much of a road worthy inspection, just that the car is emissions friendly.

A LONG time ago I lived in NJ... there I had to deal with both
