As some of you know I've been pondering about what suspension to get for when I finished my engine build which should be sometime this year.

Now I narrowed it down and also did a lot of research but the lack of actually being able to drive cars with suspension setups aim aiming for myself makes a decision extremely difficult for me.

So here goes - after 8 years of daily service my car is now a weekend warrior. I drive on the street as well as on track. I need/want the suspension to work properly, i.e. not jump around the Nurburgring just because it's not the smoothest track in existence. A bit of comfort wouldn't go amiss either as trips to the track sometimes take 6h one way.

Please state your opinion and elaborate - personal experience preferred.

I'm aiming for spring-rates in the region of 6/4.5 as I've driven Greddy Type-S and it's miserable on average roads.

Some details to the choices:
KW Comp2: custom built (2way adjustable) - need to send in camber-plates and spindles - ~2200euro (high quality and price)
Stance ProComp3: custom built (3way adjustable) - new spindles and camber-plates ~2000euro (quality? and highish price)
BC Racing ER Type (2way adjustable) - new spindles and camber-plates ~1800euro (quality? and highish price)
BC Racing BR Type (combined adjustment) - new spindles and camber-plates ~ 950euros (quality? and cheap)
DIY coils on HTS base ~650euros (used parts so cheap)

Although I can afford the KW Comp2 I'm still pondering if it's really worth it... after all it's not a small amount of cash.

I would go DIY with TRD or HTS.

I am running 6/5.1 kg/mm springs with TRD adjustable dampers and it is way better than K-sport/D2/yellow Koni on bad roads. I might go softer if I had to start over - like 5/4...

Sarcasme is just one of the things I offer Wink

How did your setup do on the ring? Do you still run the stock sway bars?

What was your original setup like? HTS longstroke+springs right? springrates? ARBs?

Yes, HTS long stroke and APEX spring with unknown spring rate (30-35mm lower and I guess around 2-2.5kg springs).

Yes, but what was it like? What did you like and not like about it. What problems where there (if any).

It was too soft and I wasn't able to adjust the dampers to the springs. Either low or high speed was always of.

BC now offer 6/4.5 too.

@NoHachi: forgot to mention stock ARBs. The car still has slight under steer tendencies with snap oversteer when pushed into corner too fast.
