The Doctor
Hello,

I'm The Doctor but irl i'm called Thomas Wink
I'm 19 years old and come from The Netherlands.

I haven't got an AE86 yet, but that'll come in the (near??) future, i hope Big Grin

Since i saw a Hachi Roku about 2,5 years ago, i liked it very much. And in these past years i've been gathering information en pics about this car.
The more i saw about it, the more i began to like it.

But the thing wich really maked me want a Hachi Roku, was the co-ride with a Levin with a 3S-GTE Cool

Hi there, welcome. that's a celica's engine right? How much bhp/torque did it have, and was it much trouble getting it in? Not sure if you know that stuff, but for me it sounds pretty strange putting a other engine then a 4a*** in a ae86. Would be interresting though to have so much power in a 86

If you want to see it come to one of the dutch corollaclub meetings, he shows up regularly. From what I understand it is a very compllicated swap. Does have 260hp though.

I'll tell him about this site when i see him, but he doesn't show up on the internet very often, so i can't garanty that he'll be here Smile

This man is a AE86 genius Big Grin
He has 6 of them atm, 1 with the Turbo, 2 with a SuperCharger engine, and 3 bone stock.

The Turbo is a very quick car (it has beaten a 420 bhp Supra TwinTurbo automatic and a 350 bhp Supra TwinTurbo manual).
The Engine comes from a MR2 Turbo and delivers about 235 bhp, because the engine is stock. More power is not necesserily needed, because the rear axel is just as he came out of the factory Wink.

I had a co-ride with that car once. We're doing 240 (and still accelerating) when we needed to brake, because of other traffic. Madness! Big Grin

Some pics of the car:

The rear wing is only there to atract. Without it, all those sportscars wouldn't even try to race him. But with the wing, they race against him (and regularly lose from him Smile).

OK whith that engine I understand your signature Smile what gearbox does he use?
A stock AE86 wouldnt do more than ~220 km/h @ 7700 rev/m if its able to go all the way Big Grin

Sarcasme is just one of the things I offer Wink

I'm not sure, but i thought that i heard him saying that he uses the 3S-GTE bell house and Supra MKIII gears, or something like that

But still it reaches max. revs in 5th gear @ topspeed (it must be around 265 or so)

Those speeds are a bit strange to me...
The cars that the engine originally came in (MR2 etc) are a WHOLE lot more aerodynamic and have the same power, yet they don't even come close to those speeds. How come?

A wheel to steer the front of the car
A pedal to steer the rear
