E/G stall after Right hand corner
When I turn to the Right, after the corner my engine stalls (like fuel cut)
It happens even at low lateral G's (like 90deg turn on public road)
No engine response at all for +-5sec or so.
I added 10l of fuel but still problem remains (fuel gauge is >1/4)
Off course I will fill it up completely and check again, maybe gauge is faulty.

Anyone has any idea or experience with this. Can it be anything different then the fuel level, because fuel level above 1/4 should still be OK I guess.

I have no engine hesitation at full throttle or so.

Thanks already

E/G stall after Right hand corner
Sounds like a problem a mate told me once!
He had same issues only on right turns, it took forever to find the problem and he does engine conversions!!! Smile
Check the loom, most likly replace it.
My mates 4A-GE had a faulty wire on the edge of the plastic trim were the loom runs behind the cam cover. (does this make sense???)

That damn wire cut out the ignintion through G-force, pretty sure you got a similar issue.

Sounds like an electrical problem indeed. Might also be fuel cutout, I noticed the ground connection (which is riveted to the pump bracket) can also get loose with age and rust in case the car has been standing still for long periods of time.

Thanks a lot.
So if I leave it idling and move or shake the wiring-lome it should stall also.

I give it a try next week. No time now Sad

E/G stall after Right hand corner
I've been thinking about the possibility of an electrical problem...

Problem does never occur on Left hand corner, bumpy road etc...

Also, the E/G cut is very clear. I mean no On/OFF behavior.
E/G cuts for a certain time than runs fine again until next right turn.

In case of wiring shouldn't it be failing also at bumps and also be less clear?

Just thinking about it since I can not check it

E/G stall after Right hand corner
I know sounds crazy, I couldn´t belive him either! But I´m telling from expirience! He had 100% same problem, only cornering (right), non reproducable on other circumstances. He looked forever checked everything but could find what´s wrong. He started to replace single wires from ECU to EFI parts and there we go. Problem solved!

What is 'E/G'???

Take a look at the loom/s that plug/clip into the bottom of the engine bay fuse box.

E/G stall after Right hand corner
So far I could solve the problem.

I moved all de wire looms around when engine was idling.
No Engine stall occured.
When moving the wiring from the fuel ratio adjustment (CO) Engine RPM went up.
Connector was not completely plugged. I would expect it to increase RPM whan it looses connection during driving also. Can it make E/G stall when driving?

Anyway problem has dis-appeared for now.... and now one came up.... If I can't find it I will (need to) start new topic. Smile

Thanks for all the advise. Thumbs up!

OOPS... E/G is Engine
No special indication on the dashboard during E/G stall. All works normally
