What do u Know about alcohol injection ??

Have you ever used alcohol to cool the engine?

I have read about some sort of alcohol injection,
Some people use toluene


Any good ideas!!!

About the alcohol/water injection.
This is for cooling the temperature inside your engine.
Commonly used on turbo engines also in the WRC.
The system itself will not give you more power but the possibility for it. You can safely up the boost a little because EGR will stay in a safe region.

The injected fluid is a mixture of alcohol (I think ethanol) and 100% H20.

Good manufacturer for this is Aquamist.
Do some google and visit their page.

Water injection is great stuff for Turbo engine, especially with SA ECU who can control the water injection. You can rise boost with no worry and gain 50-100 HP with no problems and drawbacks.

On NA can't see much purpose, only if compression ratio is really really high, and it's pure race car.

Indeed, I see very little benefit to alcohol cooling in NA engines.. might bring you CO2 down a little for the annual MOT though...
