? well AE86 are originaly fitted with an EFI system... so if you got carbs it was custom made - so you wouldn't need to get a new engine just the matching EFI system... alittle more info on your car would help Wink

alright I get it now... well you could get the whole twincam setup then engine incl. loom and ECU Wink I'm not sure if you'll benefit of fiting an EFI system to your SOHC head... maybe the twincam head will fit but I'm not sure about that. As for aftermarket EFI system Megasquirt (DIYautotune.com) is very popular Smile

well there are plenty of swap options you would have... but be advised there aree other differences between the SR and GT... rearaxle etc... search for SR5 to GT swaps you should find plenty of information and being new to corollas -> read, read and read some more there are ton of infos out there Wink

Your best bet is to wait till you find a GT that's been written off from a good side hit, buy it cheap and swap everything over:

Engine
Wiring
fuel tank and lines
clutch lines
rear axle and brakes
Front struts, brakes and all
+ any interior goodies that the GT may have had optioned.

This will be the easiest way for you to do it. Converting a FWD engine to RWD is a little bit of mucking about.
