What's in the Canister?

Hi all,

My valve cover smokes like hell, so I put a pipe to it and dropped it to the bottom, I see some valve cover going into these canisters, I was wondering what's in the canister, can I make one at home.

Nothing it just a can to collect any oil that blows out of the cam cover.
You need a breather going to atmosphere on top and a way of seeing when it is full of oil is also useful

you can put some wirewoll init to enlarge the surface area and some little plate to avoid oil being sucked out again when it's nearly full
