What shakotan does to your car!
Not an AE86 (actually a Mazda Luce Legato), but it clearly shows what shakotan (extreme lowering) does to your car after a few years:


Both chassis rails have been shaved off and are cracked open, front subframe has been scraped for at least two to three millimeters and the front lower control arms show thinned metal around their pivot points! Blush Huh

In case you are wondering what that scraping looks like, this is the same car exiting a normal car park:



I think they are lucky with no salt on the roads during wintertime in Japan. Smile

there's a video floating on facebook right now of a (i think??) Nissan Cima or something similar, it is so low, they wore through the diff casing and marked the teeth of the crownwheel Big Grin

That's the video I was looking for but couldn't find it.
Has no rear floor and barely a front floor, collects stones as it drives and you have to wear hearing protection and a dust mask.

Just....why?! hahah

I don't know how anyone can give so much care to "look cool" but so little care to wreck a car like that.

I've had my share of low cars, some silly low but still had clearance and it just made me cringe to scrape and bang and crunch over everything Sad
