Well, those engines need to be rebuilt every 400kms or so. I suppose nobody normal would rev this kind of treasure to 11k in a daily street use. Remember, it runs on open ITB's, and usually streets are more dusty than closed racetracks... Which makes the possibility of a failure much bigger. But then again, who cares? It's an anime damned! Akira's engine is in a fact a group A one, but it has a limiter set at 9k and some milder cams, to move the powerband lower.
