They should be the same. Buy any universal filter if you want cool tuned looks, nice hot air for the intake and poor filtering properties. They do sound kinda cool though.

Which intake to choose ?
In fact, I want to buy a "direct" filter in order to make a dynamic intake . I want to close a "part of the motor place" and put fresh air arrival in it .

Which intake to choose ?
Ha, the coolchamber...use to know the guys that develloped it..nice gimmick.
Spy, if you want a constructve opinion (and those are allway less fun to give): I would go with the following. 1st look where and how you could scoop as much cold air as possible from the front of the car. Probably you best bet is the underside of the car with some sort of large scoop under the radiator. Each bend you make needs to be smooth, each transition in diameter gradual. I imagine the best shape would be a wide scoopy thing, not a tube. Then I would buy the largest ordinary paper filter you could find and build an airbox for it. Airflow is a function of resistance, pressure difference and cross sectional area. Paper filters have more resistance, because unlike foam filters, they actually filter the air decently..to compensate, make sure that u use a larger one..again not forgetting to make the transition to the intake tube gradual (approx quadratically proportional) A wheel to steer the front of the car A pedal to steer the rear |

Which intake to choose ?
No...exept if you have an AFM sensor.. that is just a crappy universal filter with an adapter plate so it fits to the sqaure AFM flange.
As far as the diameter of the pipe from filter/airbox to manifold is concerned: there is not much point in making it bigger than the throttle inlet is there... it is usefull to have a very big pipe for cold air intake into an airbox. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |
