There is an AE86 advertisement in the April 16th 2007 issue of Autoweek magazine. The advertisement is from Toyota.... and it is titled, "Corolla Drift! When sideways driving was born, the Corolla was there. And still is." It is written like a short article........

Why would Toyota be advertising the AE86 in 2007??
the rumor is that Toyota's thinking of making a small, humble and light RWD car again.
Maybe that has got something to do with it? I reject your reality and substitute my own! No more Panda.. Tricolor bastard! If it 'aint broke, fix it 'til it is |

Why would Toyota be advertising the AE86 in 2007??
Judging from their current policy...after stopping with the mr2, celica and supra chances are very slim they will produce something like a light rwd coupe.

Why would Toyota be advertising the AE86 in 2007??
Sorry guys, butfor now the only "sport" think toyota is thinking about is that trashy Auris TS with rear 4 link syspunsion and probably a new 1.8 turbo engine...
Still, they ll soon start dealing with smaller cars -since CO2 regulation turns them there- but it's not very possible that they ll make a rwd small car till 2010... danielvanderwoude Wrote:looks like the nmwisima joke saved you in the endhttp://www.jdmbits.com |

Why would Toyota be advertising the AE86 in 2007??
Only an electrical fuelcell rwd powered light coupe would make sense. But then they won't make it sporty I'd guess.
Think this is just something to prove that they were always looking ahead. Marketing thing I guess... 1983 - AE86 Sprinter Trueno - import project 2013 - Honda Civic sport - daily driver 2004 - AEU86 dot ORG - daily domain Support our forum, buy from the AEU86 shop: |
