Will ae86 stock springs fit TE71 liftback ?

Just a question i am going to pick up my new daily car this week it is TE71 lifftback 1.6L dual carbed with some rust on the doorsteps and fenders but not so much. Hope it is worth this 400 euros. They guy told me that it is driving without problems so i hope he don't just talk too much .

Ok to the question because there is this issue that one spring is broken and i must replace it. I have some springs from my spare part AE86 will those fit TE71 ?

the rears will fit, fronts will only fit if you have the same bolt pattern in topmount.

if you dont think it is worth the 400 euro's, ill buy it

Anyone having some links where i can check what engine really is in this car ? I was thinking 4AC now i read about somethink about 2TB or 2TG i am really confused
The owner only told me it is 1.6L and 2 carbs on it but i haven't checked myself yet because i am going to visit him this week. Car build is 1981.

mine has a single carb 2tb.

Single carb 2TB??
Normally the 2T has a single carb, the 2T-B a double carb and a 2T-G a DOHC head plus a double side draft.
So did your 2TB got downgraded?

The car is coming home tomorrow on trailer saturday we made a deal. It got 2T-B engine (1.6 SR)i will make a topic on this one it was a big suprise. Rusty and beautiful. It looks like the car was never touched by someone stupid enough to destroy it. It is just rusty but total complete . I am wondering after we fix the suspension on front how it will run.

and we parked our new toyota at the garage hope we will have more time with my brother to repair the suspension to test the car out soon i am wondering how it will run compared to my AE86. We only made few meters to park it because right now is totally not drivable. I was sprised that after i checked the prices spare parts for TE71 are really cheap

Please can anyone point me to some good site where i can find some user manual for TE71 liftback with 2TB engine from 1981 ? I need to check for fluid specs/oil/belts and so that i need to replace and other stuff. Simply do the maintenance on the car
