Wiper blades... what to buy?
Just go into a large autoparts store with your old blades in your hand. usually it takes them just 5 minutes to find out which blades you need.
I would just take the cheapest they've got and buy a spare set as well. Its better to replace them more often then you would like to return tp the store. A wheel to steer the front of the car A pedal to steer the rear |

Wiper blades... what to buy?
Jan Pedersen Wrote:Buy Toyota wipers - they are better than BoschI also agree with that. I use only original TOYOTA wipers and never had a problem. My hachi has the twin parallel arms system on driver's side and a small wiper for the co-driver. I 've seen many cars with a pair of identical wipers for both sides. Anyone knows why the difference? http://www.ae86.gr |

the twin arm system is for GT/GT-S only according to EPC..
I think it pivots the arm a bit, probably provides better wiping coverage in fully upright position, but I'm not sure.. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |

Wiper blades... what to buy?
Sorry for not replying sooner - got much bigger problems now than a pair of wipers (description coming up elsewhere here).
s.bjelke // NoHatchi: Tried that (both blades and adaptor), at various gas stations and car-accessory-shops. No Dice. Think they've deprecated it here in Denmark :-( Anyway, i got a hold (via e-mail) of someone at Bosch that told me I need adaptor number 3392390298. I have not yet tried to order this number anywhere, although I got a good "friend" where I've put down a fair penny, so he'll surely be able to get it for me. 2 Ivan - my SR5 comes with twin arms too :-) I think this is common to all AE85/86.
2 Yonzie - I use such adaptor - costs 1.5EU again from Champion. These adaptors are not wiper blade specific - you can use Champion (or Bosch) adapter for any blades. |

jamiemirror Wrote:2 Ivan - my SR5 comes with twin arms too :-) I think this is common to all AE85/86. Not exactly, Jamie. The adapter works fine only on the single arm wiper. With a minor modification the twin arm ending can be adapted to standard wiper blades. AE86 GTS '84 Red Top |
