this might be a stupid question but i want to know if with a hydraulic handbrake how do u leave it in the upright position so as to park the car, or you cant and you just put the car into gear to keep it still.

Hmmm, double handbrake setup then... I don't know, seems a little messy to me, and it adds weight. I'm quite sure there's a way to keep the handbrake in an upright position, but I can't really remember now. I will try to find out and I will be back!

There are some hydro handbrakes which you can lock in the upright position, so the handbrakes stays on, but it's not recommend for a longer period of standing still.

by doing that u will pressurise the oil seals in the drums or calipers and they will eventually let go causing brake failure.i recommend two brakes but each to there own
if first u dont succeed,ur not trying hard enough |
