theres a bolt that goes to the header that needs to be removed and capped off.
if you want it to look like its still functioning then its tricky. but ive done it before. for the port that goes to the intake manifold make a cover in the shape of the gasket. seal it with silicone, bolt it back and let dry. now for the exhaust manifold. unbolt the big bolt and have the holes welded shut. that will prevent the exhaust fumes to go to the egr location. then bolt it back into place, dont forget the thin washer/gasket looking things. and voala you still have the egr on and not functioning. robbing HP and keeping that hot air out of your intake. also plug off the vacuum plugs on the intake system. i didnt have my camera when i did that set up. and i havent had a chance to get pics of the set up where i eliminate the whole system. the car i did it on is at the body shop. te72 wagon ae86 levin coupe project |
