flywheel options - What are you using?

the oem flywheels for the 16V and 20V silvertop are 7.2 kilos and 7 kilos... the blacktop flywheels is 6 kilos. It is steel and it is CHEAP! Can you say under $200(USA dollars) Blacktop flywheel part number is 13405-16110

I have the Dog Fight Pro 3.7kg steel flywheel in my 86. It's mostly identical to the Toda one, except for a slightly different tapering on the backside, near the center.

No, they fit.

The compatibility issue is that you need the larger 212 clutch, instead of the stock 200mm clutch. (IIRC)

I'm running a 3.7 kg as well (looks identical to the 'dogfight' one) which I picked up off of ebay.

Lightening flywheels needs to be done with some understanding
of the dynamics. If the weight can be removed from the outer rim
without affecting the structural integrity of the flywheel, or creating
stress risers, there should be no problem.

I have lightened a stock smallport as per the attached pic. I am using
it with an OEM 212 mm clutch kit inside a T50. Works just fine

It's fine for street driving, actually I have no issues even when visiting san francisco and all it's hills. Once you get used to the lightness and it becomes the norm you'll love it.
