Rebuilding steering rack, which parts to renew?

Has anybody any experience with rebuilding a steering rack?
I want to build in the QSR this week, so if anyone has any info, or better yet, a pictorial on this matter that would be great.
Mainly I'm looking for the parts I can better renew while I'm at it, rings, gaskets etc.

There's only a 'handful' of renewable parts.

2x bearings on the pinion gear
1x pinion shaft seal
1x rack shaft end bushing
2x tie rod end boots.

with new molybdenium grease and its good to go.

I found these partnumbers, the bold ones are specificly for the AW11 rack, which I have, the other ones are for both.
My technical english is not good enough to recognize every item you listed above, but I will try to connect them.
I will make them red, can you confirm if this is ok?

I also have heard something about spacers, to lenghten the rack a bit.
But I think this is for more steering angle, I found something called the battleversion 2?



The rack will work without this and have the normal steering angle?

Yep, those spacers are just for extra steering angle. I believe they are only put on one side of the rack, the picture above just shows the 2 styles of spacers that are commonly used (and in this case manufactured by battleversion).

Ok, then for now I just need the correct part numbers.

Only problem is that the driftday is coming Sunday, so I doubt I will have the rack ready before then.

IF these are for an AW11 you do NOT want them for a AE86. Use AE86 inner & outer tie rod ends on the AW11 rack - for swapping into an AE86. That would also include using AE86 steering rack boots.

These sound like what you need... But I think your missing the 'end' bushing for the passenger side of the rack.

44277-17010 Rack Guide Seat

A quick check on toyodiy.com and this 'might' be the p# you need for the bushing.
