introducing: myself!
Hey everyone,
thought i'd register myself here so i could keep up with Andreas(IBMFD3S) progress on his hachi.
He granted me the honor of working on it (the fluid change as mentioned in the garage section) a short while ago, thanx for that Andreas! Tongue
I've always been a rear wheel drive fetisjist, and since i've seen the AE86 in real life, i've taken a liking to it.
I don't own one, but never say never right?!
I'll be popping in and out once in a while to see what nice projects are going on.
Nice to meet ya all!

Regards,
Marco

Hey Marco,

Welcome mate!!

Do you own a garage or something in Hillegom? Always nice to know since its so nicely around the corner Smile

Wave from an ex-lissenaar, owh I guess that doesn't make us friends.. well I'm not a lissenaar by birth so that makes that ok Wink Thumbs up! Thumbs up!

(for the un-initiated, there seems to be some friendly rivalry between sassenheimers, lissenaars and hillegommers)

Oh no, not the intervillage fighting again, and that friendly rivalry also extends to Hoofddorpers, Abbenessers, Vennepers etc.
Me, on the other hand, am not taking sides, I hate everybody Big Grin.

I work in a garage, not in Hillegom but in Haarlem.
That's not far off too.
It's the infamous Jim Barens otototaal, witch you probably might have heard off.
The shop used too be in the city center, at the spaarne, but we moved to a bigger location like 7 years ago were we have a bigger shop and a bigger garage.

Anyways, i skip on the rivalry, i never understood that whole thing.

Thanx for the welcome, hope to meet you guys arround the track at zandvoort someday, or maybe in the shop in haarlem.

greetz,
Marco

Whats wrong with the rear brake pads? Never needed a special tool (allthough it is better to use one, the pistons can be a biatch to turn Big Grin )

This may help: http://www.aeu86.org/index/brakes-rear-b...post=58817

There's nothing wrong with them, just that the cilinders refuse to turn, just like you just mentioned.
We've already put plenty off force into it, but the cilinders won't budge even the slightest bit.
problem was i couldn't find a piece off equipment that would fit so that i could aply force to the cilinder the right way.
