I believe that it works same way as rca´s. In that case, it should be to mantain the clearence between those links and the ground as the car goes lower and lowe on suspension. The links geometry is out of his normal "play" if not using that.
I believe that is the same as this. Ebay To be honest, i´ve seen this a lot on ebay and else where, and I didnt knew the propose of that. Now that you showed your car its easily figured out. A picture worths more than thousand words...
