my ae86 20v project

hi all

im doing a project so might aswell document it!!

i have a 84 levin, silver over black.

Putting in a blacktop 20v. was going to cut firewall but shell was too good to cut and may also fail the NCT over here in ireland. Tried to go the route of front mount dizzy and fab our own, didnt work the best as found one of the cam bearings may run dry with the setup so now gone for VEMS standalone with water relocation kit.

the current status is that, the subframe and axel have been dropped and are being lightly sandblasted and painted. awaiting on loom to be built. removed all sound deading. getting the underneath and all the arch ready to be protected and painted.

i have one blacktop 20v

i do too have a 20v on my AE86 but i did not cut the firewall and dont have the waterline kit so i bang the firewall and run the waterline pipes above the header. ive had my 20v for more than a year now and it just ran fine and never had any problem with my setup. goodluck to you.

Hi There,

It´s looking really healthy, without rust on it,so there is only the fun part to make



I also have a blacktop in mine,and i also run a VEMSecu,
but i will this winter take it apart, to make lots of change,
Blacktop, turbocharge 350+hp,Hilux rearend, w58 gearbox,
And other stuff,cby fenders and some wide 17" wheels.

So right now i´m looking for some cby flares!

i picked up a spare 20v BT the other week that ill rebuild over the winter.

have to do some plumbing next and some wiring. then put in the VEMS and get that running.
