Ozone Wrote:Question - what are the suspension parts in the toyota bag - 90310-22001?
Also where did you get your adjustable top mounts from?
Thanks

These are 2 oilseals that go into the the top nut wich holds down the strut in the strut housing. Mine were totally gone.
The top mounts came with the car, but had wrong bolts and broken sperical bearings. Pretty sure they´re universal top mouts drilled to AE86 stud pattern. I also don´t like the way the bearing sits in the housing. But right now it was just cheaper to repair them... Tongue

This is becoming a seriously sweet car!

Quick question: what happened regarding the accident and the windownet?
Also: where did you find the redline gearoil and what price did they charge you?

A wheel to steer the front of the car
A pedal to steer the rear

Thanks, still working on it Smile

It´s written somewhere in this thread, I rolled the KE35 (that´s why I need a new shell), just a scar, could have been a lot worse, but yeah not again...

The redline gear box oil was veeeery expensive 30€/l on ebay Germany.
But I swapped for an innocent >100k T50. It´s in perfect condition and I want to keep it fresh. Cool

Had a fun time with my 5-day short term licence plate. Hurray!

[Image: AEU86 AE86 - my slowly 1983 AE86 drift r...5 recovery]

I´ve had massive problems with the TPS idle switch, cause it only worked parttime, leaving me with a messed up ignition, no power, backfires, and lean mixture!!! I was pretty disapointed with all the time and money already spend.
But luckily I got it sorted and it´s now running amazing well!
1 year of work finally paid in driving fun.

Spend 2 days to quickly rebuild a 2nd hand engine for a mates immaculate stock AE86, with a blown engine. The AE86 sat for 7 years in the garage, but man that car is amazing mint! Honestly NO RUST underneath, not a single part is missing, like in a time travel machine.
He paid 250 € back in 2002 for it unbelivable Smile

Totally forgot to take pictures, but my friends did I´ll post them when I get pictures.

It has been a while since my last update, these are a few pictures from our drift meeting (10.04.2011), unfortunatly the police was very quick, even tho we had chosen a rural commercial area with no business. After a long discussion they let us got, but I didn´t get the chance to "try" my car, most of my mates didn´t either.Sad No action shots this time...

The 325i was purchased one day before the meeting, 1000€ with bilstein suspension, strut brace and 2 sets of tires. Smile

I helped my friend with a quick engine rebuild after his AE86 hat sat a few years with a blown engine, got ready just in time Smile

Since that weekend not much happened, cause I´ve been very busy with university, work, but still managed to get a few new parts. Smile

A mate offered me a free Sparco pro 2000 without the "bottom seat pad" and the FIA just ran out, of course I took it. Smile

I recived a pair of SSR formula mesh 14x7 -3 from Japan and set of front caliper brakets in very good condition, scary enough I ordered them the night before the earthquake!!!

Thanks to the DW forum I got a pair of 2nd hand TRD shocks, to replace the tired long stroke Koni yellows, together with a few other bits and pieces. Thanks, for that Smile

Also got new bonnet pins and the 2nd tow hook off ebay.

Placed my order at DW, for adjustable tension rods, HKB boss kit and a magnetic sump plug (still not sure it it will fit) After just 2 days I got everything, I wish every shop whould work as fast as Driftworks does!!!Hurray!

Still needed to look for a way to mount the pro 2000 and came across a cheap pair of Wisteria low mount seat rail in the private sales section. Smile
It needs a little cuting and welding to fit a 410mm base side, but it will be fine and it will gain ~5cm headroom!!!

[Image: AEU86 AE86 - my slowly 1983 AE86 drift r...5 recovery]

Last mod from yesterday night beside mounting the DW tension rods. Finally I could throw away the steering wheel that came with the car, I don´t know what they´ ve done to it, but it had terrible axial/radial runout and was falling apart.

I´ve also spend a lot of time with polishing my 4 other mesh rims, the centers have been sand blasted and will recive a fresh golden paint. A friend talked me into replacing the pressed steel wheel nut seats with new stainless cnc machined ones. The old ones had really bad corrosion and the wheels nuts got loose sometimes.

[Image: AEU86 AE86 - my slowly 1983 AE86 drift r...5 recovery]

All that´s left to do until my next drift attempt is a oil change, mounting the seat once and for all and a good WHEEL ALIGNMENT!!!

Right now money is comming pretty good, hopefully everything will be done by the end of the month.

Thanks for readingSmile

Many thanks!!! Smile

@Sgonzalez
Hey, it´s pretty easy you search on auctions yahoo for what you need, using for example google translate.
Once you found what you want email [email protected] the auction link and your max. bid and he will give you a qoute how much it will cost shipped to you, remember to add the import tax your country charges!

He does things like this for living and is very friendly and will help you for sure! Smile
http://www.hayatonka.com/index.html

I didn´t install the LSD myself, cause it´s much better if a special gearbox, diff shop does it. They really know what the´re doing and my diff came out a lot quieter than before, I only paid 120€.
Hope this helps?
