Possibly a shorted wire.. that resistor can take some pretty hefty current usually. You might want to check that before you replace it and go for a drive again.

Ivan141 Wrote:Possibly a shorted wire.. that resistor can take some pretty hefty current usually. You might want to check that before you replace it and go for a drive again. The other connection wire is +, coming from EFI relay and 10A fuse. Possibly it was a short circuit sometimes, as I found the wires have been repaired by previous owner. It seems I was driving my car for several years with out tvis working properly The ECU is in electronic shop at the moment for part replacement and test. I hope it was only the fired resistor causing the problem. Fun is not the straight line! |

I measured3,91 ohms. probably you need a 4ohm nominal resistance. good luck!

Good news!
ECU is now OK! A few broken parts has been replaced. TVIS is now working properly. After first run I have noticed that BTDC has to be rechecked. Now everything is working perfectly. The car is flying Fun is not the straight line! |

ZDoman Wrote: Thanks man! I put the resistor as you said. The guy at the electronic workshop told me that any resistor up to 8 ohms will work as they are here just as precaution. Fun is not the straight line! |

my tvis doesnt work...
A new question:
Until i buyed my car, always had a problem in hight RPM...from 5000RPM the engine don't push like should. As my knee is much better, i started to do any things in the car. Today i was looking the vacuum-T-VIS conections and i saw this Then i consulted the workshop manual and i saw this connections scheme I think the connections are wrong, not? my car is zenki '84 and the manual is may '87, but i think connections are the same, not? Looking the oldeskewltoy's pic....i'm confused because i'm seeing other tube that my engine hasn't it Anybody know the zenki scheme?? is like the manual? EDIT (10:31 19/02/12) I just change the tubes position and the same, the engien continues pigeon pea at hight revs Let's search a electrical problem |
