Check connector?
I can't locate check connector on my hachi. I suspect for two connectors covered by rubber, but I'm not sure because in 4age manual it should be square shape connector. Can somebody help me for this issue? Thx

If you have a zenki ae86 the look for a single loose yellow connector with a rubber cap on it...should be on the firewall behind the intake manifold.
A kouki ae86 would have a square little box that says diagnosis on it in almost the same location. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |

Yes, there is a single loose yellow connector with a rubber cap on it with few terminals. Do you know which terminal I have to shortcut for:
1) Diagnostics? 2) BTDC set up? I can only find description for the squared one. Fun is not the straight line! |

There should be a loose connector with only 2 terminals (of the 'female' type). I assume you have a 83-85 model then.
When you short the 2 terminals in the yellow connector the check engine light will give possible error codes and you can set distributor timing as well..it's all done with the same connector terminals bridged. I'll try to find a pic for you.. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |
