nzae86's TRD ae86 N2 Race Car Project 2,
Well a bit more progress, work tends to get in the way of me finding time to make progress !!
I managed to complete my fibre glass bonnet today and roughly fitted it up , I will shape it correctly tomorrow I will weigh it , but would safely say that it is less than half the steel original. My seat has found a home and as you see it is set back quite a bit so the steering column will need to be lengthened as well . I needed this set back to fit the floor mount pedal box The pedal box and floor is done as well And the dry sump tank now has a bracket to sit in as well as a strap to support it , the bottom of the mounting bracket has a spigot that goes through the floor so that the tank can be drained in place when giving it an oil change. I hope a bit more progress will happen this weekend |

That's looking very good. Amazing work, and when I saw the seat before reading that part I thought it was set that far back cos you were a very tall person (6' 5" +). lol
Keep up the good work. DJ AE86 FTW! |

genuine Levin too?
Or a (very nice) KE25 'converted' to TE27 spec? NICE car! "It's all about the heart, the people who focus on parts, turbo's and all that stuff...they're just losers." -Shinji Minowa |
