Somehow I'm sad to see such a neat original hachi getting frp-bumpered, but then again I'm happy to see it is being restored to top condition.

It's just bumpers... I'm not mad at you for fitting them or anything Big Grin. That would be silly.
Do whatever you like, I'm sure it'll end up looking great.

EEEEEEEEK

Your car is whitish!

Good to see you doing this Ibrahim, this is still the best time to get serious work done as you can stop small problems from becoming to big to handle.

I do have to add to that, seeing there is indeed more rust then expected on the car, I don't know how far you've gone with stripping her but I would strip her bare. If your windscreen is already cracked, make a deal with the windscreen replacer to take the windscreen out for you but don't put a new one back in. Get the engine out, and make sure you check every inch of the car. Plenty of people on this forum that can give you good advise from experience. Talk to Jan or Apardal, they both went that far and know from experience what technique works. If you're investing in a partial respray anyways, doing a full respray isn't that much more expensive and will probably be cheaper in the long run.

What I can also recommend is that you talk to whitepoint (who bought my car). The cheapest really good option that you have if you know the right people, is to ship the bare shell off to Poland, have it treated and painted there, and then ship it back (by shipping I mean trailering). Make it a little summer holiday.
Make sure you talk to the right people though, there are really skilled people there who do beautiful work, but I also heard stories about cars being fixed up with cardboard Smile

Moved down under, no more hachi Sad

I know what you mean Bas, pity enough we dont strip the car to bare this time. It is not a good idea to do this at my parking place as the car parts is everywhere around the house. I already promised that things would not happened but now it is happened. Also some private reason that I dont do that. So it will be time again that I will strip the car to bare and restore it again by myself. This time I learn how to restore it. So next time I would dare to do by myself Smile
