Can anyone please tell me if there is a difference between a fwd AE92 sump and a rwd AE86 sump apart from the oil return. Could I use a fwd drive sump on my '86 or would it foul somewhere ?
Thanks, tc An analogue brain in a digital World |

I do believe they are quite similar. Only a different size drain plug and possibly the lack of an oil return bung as far as I remember.

there IS a difference.... but if you are careful it shouldn't matter...
the difference is about 1/4 of a quart. The fwd pan is indented for clearance of the drive axle, the drain plug is also on the opposite side Dan - You can | .... OR you can ask for help!!! OST Porting service - http://hachiroku.net/forums/showthread.php?t=19991 |
