Some nice bits there, liking the Tilton set up a LOT!! ... Looking forward to seeing it assembled & the rest of the brake components too
Are RS going to be extending the gearbox housing to make it flat further back? I could imagine it maybe difficult to seal it from noises & smell with a rubber gaiter otherwise.. An idea: As you have a deep dished wheel which presumably you'll use with a long boss kit - and the gear shift comes out further aft, maybe it would be a good idea to mount the pedal box and seat rail(s) further back too. Could help with weight distribution too, perhaps? Loadsa space there to make a nice intricate equal length 4-1 manifold...! Loving how this car's progressing! VISIT OUR NEW WEBSITES!!!! Hopefully RS are extending the tunnel for the new setup.
By nature of where the Tiltons sit they are actually further forward than the oem pedal set so I think by the time the deep dish wheel and boss kit are on it should be ok. I will need to see how far back the seats actually go before we decide to move the rails. I have my eye on a nice manifold already I'm currently taking HRT ~ Hachi Roku Therapy |

First up, the cross member recieves a little extra bracing as the sump doesnt interfere like the S2000 engine would have. Some new steering rack brackets have been fabbed up as well to cater for the new non ps rack.
Further mods to the cross member as the angle of the engine mounts are different to the original 4AG engine resulting in finished mounts for the Beams engine. All bolted up to the cross member and ready to go in the car... In it goes complete with the crossmember spacers to lower it. I appreciate that the steering rack and arms will be lower and this is caterd for later. With the engine mounts finished its time to go to the back of the car and cut the floor out to make room for the rear fuel cell, battery compartment etc. I'm currently taking HRT ~ Hachi Roku Therapy |
