Hello there again !!!
My name is George and i am coming back with this nick because i was banned from admins!!!
I am really sorry for being so wrong to believe that this is a forum for freely speaking persons.
I am especially disapointed because some of you without knowing what is going on with FYROM took their place to help them continue their provocative policy about our province called Macedonia. My posts were deleted and some others were left there making me or us GREEKS look like provocatives. Big mistake men !!!
Mr Johhny86 about your comments for special olympics ... they show your cultural background and your degree of understanding these peoples life fights. I think most retarded of you than anybody else taking place in these games even being a winner or not !!!
If you don't like the truth gentlemen i must say that i can't continue being a member of your team...
Bann me or not i would like not to delete this post because i think my opinion must be read by all of thinking members of your forum!
Thanks for your hospitality so far,
if i 'll be banned all you Greeks now where to find me in

Count me out of these statements, which does not represent my beliefs.

I was the first to "strike" on that FYROM guy, yet it was cause I thought he was provocative. (Why else mentioning your country contraversial name 4 times in one post and then dissapear?)

I m no chauvinist, I m sad Alimonos thinks this way, I m sad that he couldnt even see Johny was joking, and I m sad this had to happen here.

Regards,
A.

Thanks for letting us know how you feel and I'm sorry you feel that way...
I do know what is going on in the conversation between Greece and Macedonia/ROM/FYROM/whatevernameyouputhere but don't you agree that this is a car forum and not a political one?? What is the use of discussing politics here then? Why do you need to piss of everyone?

This forum is freedom of speach, but this forum is about cars, not about politics. Of course you can make jokes or small taunts, but what happened in the other topic is way beyond that. We could not simply allow that!

If you read the topic properly you could have read you were going to be unbanned after 48 hours. You're currently making that very unlikely this way. I'll leave it up to the other admins and moderators to decide upon that. Angry

Nmwisima: I'm glad not everyone is thinking the same as alimonos. In retrospect the name may be only provocative towards Greek people and maybe we should have removed/altered the startpost earlier. I'm also very sorry this had to happen here. Undecided

We have to find a solution on this problem!!!

I didn't have the opportunity to read the original thread before the posts were deleted. I have to say that we must keep calm, but this guy came and left like a comet. He gave his punch and left living all us who participate and love this forum for several years arguing without any reason.

I think this is not the right place to solve our political problem, but it is not also the right place for someone to protest against anyone like our "friend". I can also believe that Constantinople aka Instabull must return to Greece but this is not the right thought for people like us.

We have our love and hobby which must keep us together!!!

And as far as alimonos concerned.... Alimonos is a great guy and i think that he should not leave this forum... I can understand his anger, but i can also understand our administrators who banned him to calm things.

Please let's return to our daily discussion and stop everything else here.

George my friend stay with us

See you at Patras on Saturday....

Most people that have enough distance will recognise that the reactions where disproportionate. There is in my opinion nothing provocative in stating where your from, but I do not wish to open this can of worms so I will refrain from any further discussion on this topic.

The reason the guy probably never came back is because the whole topic just went about him using the wrong name for his country. Whether he used that name on purpose, justifiably or in any other way no longer mattered at that point.

Alimonos you are right about one thing, we do not understand the Greek v.s. FYROM thing at all. The point being however, we do not need to understand it because this is a CAR FORUM. Not a political outlet.

It is impossible to phantom why something like this is blown out of proportions while 99% of the people on this forum probably haven't even got a clue what FYROM is nor where Macedonia lies.

The correct reaction (if something as such exists) would have been to let it alone, if the guy was indeed out to provoke, he would never have answered any of the normal queries about his enthousiasm for Toyotas (which is what this forum is about) and the topic would have simply died. Now he won because he put us all up our asses.

If this guy was for real, we'd now be drooling over his wonderful hachi roku and most people still wouldn't care what part of the world he's from and why some people hate this whole naming thing. Now we've scared the poor guy away.

Now we end up loosing either way.

Besides, you may want to look around a little more though, I'm sure there is a Macedonia in other places in the world as well, with people living there probably being completely ignorant of any of this.

Did you know there is an Athens in just about every state in America? Are you going to start a bloody flame war every time we get an American who happens to be from Athens introducing himself because the only Athens is in Greece and its your capital so how dare he misintroduce himself?

Please keep politcs off this site.

Greetz,

Bastiaan "mux213" Olij

Moved down under, no more hachi Sad

Ivan I agree. the limits were crossed.

johny, I didnt expect that either. It was obvious you did it for fun.

Mux, you say keep politics out, yet you analyse too much. And you re damn wrong. Hell yeah, there is Athnens in the US. They re not calyiming they re the "first" or the "real" Athens, or the "Athens where Pericles lived and ruled".

That is the difference.

I personally disagree with all that sauvinistic rage that most Greek people feel, mainly cause they are too borded to read history and see what really happened and what really macedonia was.

Yet I am furious with the way FYROM tries to claim its presense in Balkans, and I m more furious with my goverment that gives them the chance to do so.

I am really in FOR LOCKING THIS TOPIC AND STOP THIS DISCUSSION.
This is a car forum.
