4A-GE + CARB
Anyone got idea about this setup?
I've found carbs from Kawasaki ZX-9R, 10 000km. Bike is destroyed.
Carbs are keihin G314 AKKL with 40mm inner diameter.
We've calculated that flow on 900ccm engine on 14k rpm is same as 4a-ge small port on 6,6k rpm so it should be ideal in terms of sizing.

I might try this setup, but the bike-guy says i have to run'em with airbox on. Since i would like to run them with trumpets/KN filters is there any problem with that, since these carbs need vacuum to work properly.

PLEASE SOME OPINIONS since it's kinda urgent.
I need to buy or return these babies.

nice thoughts you have! where do these carbs need vacuum??? (afaik this equeal-pressure thing is made internaly. no need for airbox ...)

There will be no problem with vacuums :-)
But adapter seems to be big2smallport - I think that you will need additional (or new) one.

Zax,

take a quick look at the carbs that Stage One offer for the 4AGE. I guess this will give you an idea about jet sizes etc.

I can do you a deal on a nice set of K&N filters as the ones I had on my car are no longer required. going cheap.

Regards Ian.
