AE86 Coupe [Netherlands]
Hello all,
I've had this site in my favourites for some time but I never introduced myself because well...it wasnt the right time or something. But all that changed yesterday when I went to pick up my new love... I can't believe how lucky Iam for finding this treasure. I heard about it from some friends and the car had been sitting in a garage for 9 years! Fortunatly the owner took good care of it and so the body is in perfect shape with hardly any rust and I snapped it up for a bargain! He said he had another one somewhere else but had no time to work on it or drive in it and he had a bad back or something. And so I came, or should I say forced myself, into the picture. Offcourse the engine is not running after all this time so I'll clean it up and try to get the 4AGE started again and do some maintenance because after 9 years some parts could use some replacement . Also, the car is already stripped and has a rollcage in it but that probably means I have to do some adjustements to make it streetlegal. If the 4AGE cannot be saved then I will look to maybe do some serious engine swap as I want to use the car not only for street use (groceries and stuff, not long distance) but also for drifting. The car is yellow but painted with a roller so even though I'm probably keeping it yellow it still needs a new paintjob and some upgrades. I myself by the way am 24 years old and live in the Netherlands. I own a webshop wich sells automotive lifestyle stuff like t-shirts, flags, hoodies, badges, stickers etc (I also have some cool AE86 tees!) but I'm not here to promote my shop. Let me show you some pictures of the car... By the way I already know some people with an AE86 in the Netherlands and I want to thank them for showing me what a great car the AE86 is. One of them is actually in a short drifting clip I made last week (I love editing) wich is on my Youtube channel. I look forward to meeting some more people with an AE86 and I thank you all for being here and sharing your passion and knowledge. I love to see all those different nationalities here! Sorry for the long story have a nice day. Barry Oh and if there's somebody interested in the original backseat let me know because otherwise I will throw it away * RaceMinded Blog * NoCarNoLife.eu * |

Welcome Barry!
I think I've seen your other car sweeping up dirt on country roads on the Japanese Classic Sunday. Looks like your hachi is in a very nice shape... As far as I can see no surface rust. What did it look like on the bridge? What about the other hachi the owner had? Any info upon that one? 1983 - AE86 Sprinter Trueno - import project 2013 - Honda Civic sport - daily driver 2004 - AEU86 dot ORG - daily domain Support our forum, buy from the AEU86 shop: |

banpei Wrote:Welcome Barry! Yes that was me sweeping dust but I was not the only one! That was a nice day and I remember it well because there were many lovely hachis present About the other hachi, I thought one might ask about that pretty soon but he said it was not for sale (he almost had tears in his eyes when I took this one ) plus it had a crack in the roof or something he said. * RaceMinded Blog * NoCarNoLife.eu * |

Welcome Barry
Cool cars you got there. I like the vids, cool editing. Is that R34 a GT or a GTR with 4wd controller and no wing? Could not tell from the video or pic. either way a very good combo. @Crowfield: The Nissan isn't my first car but yea I'm not complaining
@Speed-inc: Thanks. The R34 is the GTT version so also RWD I replaced the front bumper because I love the GTR bumper as it goes all the way up whereas the GTT bumper meets the hood further down. I find this hard to explain but I hope you know what I mean and that's why it may look like a GTR * RaceMinded Blog * NoCarNoLife.eu * |
