stock strut shocks (rally)
Most rallye here are Tarmac , with some gravel part . Lets consider it's tarmac only .
I tried coilover ( stock struts lenght and blue TRD/Tokico ) with Swift springs 8kg/mm( I think it's 400lbs) , but it was too soft .
I got my large springs back on stock strut plate .

I was planning to buy 12", 500lbs spring (60mm dia) from Rally design, and try them with Bilstein rebuilded shocks

But do they fit the stock strut or are they short strut .
I also found that that spacer can be used , to keep the stock strut?
Any experience welcomed
Phil

Yes, the MR2 version is short stroke.
It's the front btw.
But they also have normal stroke version's for the AE86.
The MR2-front/Camaro-rear option is for extreme lowering.
Techno Toy Tuning sell's the spacer right here:

AGX and HTS won't do you much good on a rally car, both are short strokes and will drop the height.

See my abobe post...
Shock's don't alter rideheight.
That's what springs do.

Perhaps I should stiffen mine up a bit then Huh Please let me know what it's like, I have a tarmac rally between Christmas and new year and might give these rates a go.

To SX-Machine : confirming , the height is done with springs , shocks work is to absorb the spring "oscilliation"(don't know if it's the correct word in english to speak about spring movement)

So if I read well , despite Bilstein, there's no alternative on shocks with stock lenght .

To Totta Corolla . Will leave you feed back , but my next rally is on december 13/14 , and I don't know if I can get all fixed for that date!
