Ok, so it didn't quite happen as fast as I hoped But the block is assembled, painted and ready. The head still needs to be shaved and assembled

But I recieved the T50 rebuild kit today

it looks god, but i dont understand why you use a used oil cooler, you newer know what have been in that oil cooler. and whit a rebuild engine

Erik, you are right but the old oil in the cooler was all clear and the engine was running.

I got the last two shims today They are in place and valve clearence is just the way I wanted it. And I could finally install the timing belt and covers. Here is a few new pics:




Now all I need to do is figure out how much of the hoses that runs under the ITBs to use and its ready to drop in...

Thanks DJ! The rebuild kit was about $450. I would have had to pay about the same amount for the front bearing and 2nd+3rd syncros at toyota!

Yup, it ran across the car 10 minuttes after I washed it We werent the best of friends...

Oh, I forgot to mention that I had the engine in the car. I do however have to change a couple of hoses before it gets in for good
