update

Started with the wheel arches. Went with golf mk 3(oldschool metal/budget ones) The measuring took up most of the time.




...then some welding. primer'd and spot welded...






some modification to make it fit nicely...


and the plate under the side skirt, which I realise is not straight later on




then some minor mods...




I was too quick here and had to add another plate. pics will come later
the lower part of the wa



I wasn't happy with the plate finishing sharp so a added some plate to make it "tire safe"
What's left is connecting the golf mk3 arch with the ori arch (inner) and finish the rear part of the wheel house.

Whoah man, nice work! Much respect. That plate is a smart move as it will also keep all of the water and dirt outside.

Dont worry about aesthetics, nobody will be checking your undercarrieage. And if you do a good work on the body, the car will look like new. Unlike my car which has so much kit on it that chunks are falling off at places :/ Previous owner didn't want to bother with straightening and welding too much, rather used alot of kit everywhere... so i think time spent in this phase will heavily reflect on the finished resoult.

My motivation has dropped a little bit, but I forced my self to work on the wheel arch today...

It's going to be difficult to rust secure it on the inside

Just to make something different I spot welded teh chassi on the inside...
