Beau's Trueno..
Update:
Saturday & Sunday: Saturday and Sunday: Been a tad busy with looking after the missus last couple of days so the weekend has been my only free time to work. Bit of stuff done. Most of the car coming back together. Alot of the car has been stripped bare on the inside. everything has been painted inside besides the floor, waiting paint. Engine mounts were modified and made so the engine sat lower and further back. New tunnel has been finished and will be welded in this week after the new floor rails are welded in place. My frp hatch is all most ready to be painted. Throttle cable holder thingy made. Wiring started. Bride Zeta was stripped and cleaned looks brand new. Lots more redbull consumed. All window mouldings repainted and re fitted. Intercooler was test fitted in new spot (lower and closer) Most of the old piping fits but will need to be tweaked in some bits. STILL waiting on dump pipe hopefully get that this week then the zaust will be done! Got the Handbrake cage, and handle made Friday night but needs more work and i might be changing it so that i can have a 'harder' feel to it with less travel. Cage padding on the rear has been removed cause it was basically not needed. Started to work out seat rails for the new Fix back seat for the passenger seat. My brother was home this weekend for once so he was working on his car as well so you will notice a few pics with his car in it. Tuesday: Not alot happening. Ive had way to much work, Plus im waiting on people and parts to arrive. Just about everything is painted now besides the Rear Flares (just came back from the fibreglasses), the bonnet and the FRP hatch. Need to make the passenger seat rails and the front bumper and intercooler support. Will finish the Handbrake off this week, just trying a few ideas before i complete. Errh here is 1 pic i used my better camera for once. lol so you should see the awesome-ness of this show pony! You can see that we have started working out the cooler pipes, the OG ones come pretty close so should be the goods. Painted the cooler back and sorting the oil cooler size out this week and placement fitting.. Hanging for the Tax return! Wednesday: Everything painted now (except bonnets), My old man started the cut and polish process, the difference is amazing and apprently gives longer life, but i know if it was up to me i wouldnt bother haha good thing Dad is a perfectionist. Got the passenger ebay seat in finally. Changed my ideas for the handbrake.. again. waiting on some stuff to be welded on the inside so i can paint it all and (brush and enamel) then i can finish and set up handbrake. Using the milk you can see the refelction and depth of the paint, Dad said he still has more to do.... Paint and shiz is his and Harley's deal not mine! I'm all about White Russians! Sunday: - Inside cleaned and Painted in pewter. - Tunnel and floor brace welded in. PLease note the pic i took is just when we started it, i cant be bothered going out in the cold to show a pic. - Intercooler piping cut and set up ready for welding this week by the man FRESH Matt! - Intercooler and front bar support brace made and painted. - Wiring started by Beau.. What a mess. - Oil Cooler set up started to be worked out. - All engine mounts painted. - Dump pipe recieved and on its way to be modded for the car. FRESH again! - Z32 AFM have started set up. - Harness's and harness bar fitted. - Bonnet prep'd (temp bonnet until new one is made) and ready for paint. Big ups to the Club Charles boys this weekend B-Rad the Soul master and Fresh Matt and of course Beau and my Dad. Got heaps done this weekend starting to look like a car of some sorts now. Love AE86? Beau's Trueno..
Usless at updates.
Here is a quote i said when it was finished: Quote:Car went to the tuners today, hence why i didnt go on the Too-ghey yesterday. Car made 217HP (167rwkw) at the wheels on stock boost with only a FMIC, Microtec and a 3" zaust and a engine with 60000km on it. So very happy with that and so was the tuner, he mention that the power delivery is super smooth and he was amazed how good it is and how well set up it was so that was a good end to this epic conversion of destroying the purist perception hehe.__________________ You can also check it out here on my families web site! http://www.fat57customs.com/?p=165 Love AE86?
