RT's Levin from Azores (1st post updated 2015)
Hello everyone,
I had to edit the post since the pictures from imageshack are not working. Here's what I've done to my 87' Levin. Bought it in July 2008 and had it on the road on May 2012. The car had a lot of rust, engine problems, had been sitting for years, last inspection was dated 2005. At least the interiors were not bad and the car was complete, no parts missing. So the work started. Body work restoration, mechanic repairs and some upgrades. 120.000 km when I bought it Originally red but I changed to white Bodywork/Paint: Almost everything in the car came out All rust removed and new metal welded in by a person with years of experience (now retired), thanks for everything Mr. José Vasconcelos!! Removed the antena, now I regret it White paint on the outside and inside (Toyota SuperWhite 040) Anti-rust wax was used inside the doors, panels, etc Wheels were repaired and painted Mechanic: Head gasket was burned so the engine was fully-restored New OEM water radiator New lighter flywheel (XTD) New Aisin clutch Magnecor Spark Plugs 20v ITB's:
Ignitor 16V + Ignitor MAF LC-1 wideband + gauge Fuel Pressure Regulador SARD + gauge 7MGE fuel injectors ITB's Silvertop 20V ITG baseplate + ITB filter 4AGE 20V Velocity Stacks T3 20V Aluminium adaptor for 16V Eagle Vacuum box Eibach Pro-Kit Springs Prothane complete bushing kit (red) All wheel bearings replaced Gear box was oppened and repaired LSD Kaaz and Kaaz oil Original repaired brakes including main brake cylinder Stainless Steel brake lines Repaired clutch master cylinder Complete stainless steel exhaust IE Power including 4-1 manifold Reviewd electronics Interior: New seat covers (back covers, in fibre glass) New back shelf in fibre glass TRD carpets TRD shift knob Exterior: TRD trunk spoiler (soon to be replaced with OEM spoiler) Sprinter Trueno tail lights Black license plates (as used in the 80's) Apex/Levin stickers OEM Yellow fog lights (grill) Konig Rewind wheels Side skirts (OEM replicas in fibre glass) Misc: Corner lights - New OEM Front bumper blonkers - New OEM Sun roof - New OEM Spare clutch kit (Exedy) Spare 4AGE 16v Bluetop Some used OEM tail lights Borracha que suporta a vareta do capot - nova original Pedal covers - New OEM And much more small stuff that I don't ever remember... Finally home after 4 years 2014 |
