Guy that bought himself a good looking Z that he had similar plans with as you, decided to video tape everything he does in a "a car is reborn" style video series.

Problem is, after the first episode where he strips the car down, he finds out he's in for the long haul.

Finally decided to open up the motor and see what kind of shape it's in. Looks to be good aesthetically, but that really doesn't mean a lot.

have a look at the waterways (remove thermostat housing) and the cams - that'll tell you most about how the engine was treated... as unfortunately sometimes the engine are bought by the company in good condition but then realy badly stored.

All of the body parts came today!!!! Finally! So Saturday I will pull the motor and cut the fenders up so that it will be ready to paint next week.

I wasn't planning on attacking the paint until everything else was done, but someone owes me money and wants to pay by way of painting the car. I suppose this isn't terrible bad though because I would like to paint the bay before throwing the new motor in.

Anyways help me decide what you think looks best. Here are a few Forza mock ups, but I am open to opinions. Keep in mind I did order Carbon fiber Flares, and a carbon BRE wing so those will remain unpainted.

Ok so today the work started. Thanks to Micah, we were able to get the motor and trans out in under 2 hours!
