Reinforced Gearbox mounts/bushings
I've installed a turbocharged 4AGZE in my Corolla. Does any of you know if there is a company that sells reinforced mounts for the gearbox? I'm also looking for reinforced engine mounts. I have been told that I might see as much as 250 ps with approx 15 psi (1 bar) of boost. Wich in turn means that the engine will flex more and the transmission could do with some reinforcement as well..
All help is welcomed, and feel free to suggest other modifications that you feel is necessary in this sort of application. And while I'm at it,- I'm new to this forum! I'll try to get some pictures of the car posted sometime soon. Glad I found this forum, feels like finally I found home sweet home |

Try ebay.com - there were CUSCO engine and tranny mounts.

the TRD and Cusco bushings use a much harder rubber that is why the engine doesn't move that easily. That is better choice if you want your mounts to last much longer.

I just hope your gearbox will cope with 250ps...I dont think the life expectancy will be very long if you drive it hard (drifting/dragging).
Welcome to the forum BTW.. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |

Pero bought TRD gearbox bushings, but all that he received were OEM toyota bushings. So, my advice would be, don't buy TRD gearbox mouts. Drifting - best fun you can have in your car with your pants on! |
