S2000 Cluster in 86 Corolla ?? pro's plz
So I tried getting the 86 fuel level sensor working on the s2000 cluster as its about 20ohms difference. It picks up here and there and as I suspect the 86 sensor is too unreliable. Hence, chopped, grinded, filed my modified 86 one with a s2000 sender and works like a charm (on the table Smile. Measurements and throw arm look pretty good as well.

Good work.

Let me know if you need the Temperature Gauge converter as I can scale down my design for the temperture converter - programmed to toyota ECT and triggered with specified temperatures of your liking.

Here's my converter design board v1.0: (sent off for PCB manufacturering)

Remember to hookup the VSS input into your SPD signal to keep your ECU happy.

Actualy I have a Megasquirt II so I don't need to hookup the VSS Tongue
(and anyway I have a 16v not a 20v so my sock ECU don't need SPD signal)

I'm building Coil On Plug setup and the Denso COP seem to have tach signal output. I don't know what kind of signal is, but I hope it will be 12v square wave Smile

For Denso COPs' 5V on falling edge to IGT.
IGT:

IGf:

My circuit actually runs off Denso COP's IGf signal Tongue Can't the MS output the rpm/tacho signal for you?

(JDM 16V ECU needs still needs SPD signal I believe)

ennieb: time and persistance Smile Actually found building this fun and a learning experience.

OK.
Yes MS have programmable outputs and tach is one of the options but if I could make this directly from COP that will be simpler that programing output on MS.

I didn't work for me but don't let me stop you from trying.

In the end I had to capture and reprocess the signal. Make sure you include a RC filter as the line gets noisy.
