@Uzelac: ebay.de
There is a set being auctioned at this moment. @Apolan-> no downhills or uphills in Holland. So no need for euro beats (thank god!). A wheel to steer the front of the car A pedal to steer the rear |

God I love those VDO's. They give the car a propper euro 80's touch.

You need VDO original temp sensors en pressure sensors.. the pressure sensors can be expensive sometimes..especially when new.
No idea if Toyota is compatible.. can try to do a comparison of outputs once one of the senders arrives here. A wheel to steer the front of the car A pedal to steer the rear |

I'm hunting for some old oil pressure sensors at the moment.. already ordered the correct Audi OEM temp sensor (50-180 as opposed to the 50-150 range that most later VDO sensors have).
The 5 bar pressure sensor is not too easy to find at a nice price... most newer ones are 10 bar. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |

So the best is to get gauges with senders. Does someone have wirisng diagram for them ?

Wiring is easy .. I got this set with a wiring loom attached, which is usually a big plus because a lot of whats being sold on ebay is sold without light fittings.
Basically.. temp and pressure both have 1 signal wire that attaches straight to your sensor. Every sensor takes + and ground, and you usually power the lights from the dashboard lighting circuit. Meters with sensors easily go for 100 euro (nicer VDO ones). You really need to be lucky. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |

Got my hands on one white kit from S2 Audi.
Will change dials, if someone needs measures, let me know Thanks for wiring diagram, i got them without harness and senders. Found both senders for 15€ so hope to see them in AE86 soon. BTW. where did you locate sensors on engine ? New/old holes ? |

The sensors are not in yet. But if I had to put them somewhere I would go with a sandwich plate under the oil filter with sensor mounting holes, or put the pressure sensor in place of the oil pressure warning switch (I have a sensor with warning contact anyway). Oil temp is best measured in the oil pan, but a sandwich plate with sensor mounting points will do fine too.
Where did you find the sensors that cheap? I pay around 20 euro's per sensor if I get lucky on ebay... they dont go much cheaper. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |
