Oke, made some good progress eventhought it takes more time than I thought. It it actually very enjoyable to do!

It is quite a job, especially because you need to line up for the bumper holder.

Here some pictures, wil make some more tomorrow in day-light.

To prevent it from insideout rusting I will use ML150(?) Tectyl. This is specially for inside chassismembers. It includes a little hose, this I can lead through some holes in the trunk floor.

Okey, time for an update

While working on the car I found more and more rust and rust and rust. A lot worse than I had expected actually. I have been working hard on it and now all chassis rust is done.

inside: right foot, behind rear seats (place where brackets from axle are mounted), underneath rear seat

so as you can read i went around the car, more pictures of result will follow

Next up are the rear wheel arches. I am going to use the escort arches again. Last time I did not have my own welding machine yet and did not agree how the mechanic fixed it. I am, however, in doubt about how I can fix this best.


I don`t have a better picture but the left side was dented, here I have cut away the top piece and restyled the inner side




In the last picture you can see how I ended the chassis welding wich I will finisch when the new arch is on there
