Some salvage here in Serbia, Nis to be exact.

They are not new, pressure goes for 1000 din (little less than 10€) and temp sensor for 300 din (less than 3€).

I can see if he has more, can send them to Holland or to Sremcica Smile

Enough of this hijacking nonsense.
Something has actually happened to the car again today

I worked my big fat ass of all day today trying to get the car in fighting shape for it's almost 2 month overdue MOT (after 2 months the fines start coming in).

Decided to tackle the biggest things in one go: massive rust on the lower rear pockets, and the fuel pump relocation.
Since you cant get to the rear pockets with the tank in place, this seemed a logical combination to make.

The fuel tank dropped out without problems, to reveal the extensive rust that we already feared we would find (slightly worse than we thought).
While my brother NoHachi tried to wrap his big brain around putting in the EFI fuelpump holder and installing a bigger main fuel line(the car was originally a SR5 with carbs) I was busy chopping and welding the pockets.

Anyhoo.. we are now running on an in-tank 250 l/ph pump with a big copper line to the front. and the remaining holes in the rear end are now no longer big enough to serve as mailboxes.
No pictures as of yet because my welding did not make me proud.

Resurrection has commenced.. after having the car standing still for way too long, not giving it a second glance, it is now in the works for a new MOT, and getting it truely fit for the road (as opposed to the stonking beast that would gas you whilst driving, while breaking down in random places).

I'm not bothering with text or nice pictures... you'll just have to make due with my crappy iphone-1 pics Tongue .

And yes, I am aware the downpipe is less than ideal, but space is at a premium due to the damn steering rack being exactly behind the turbo.

At the moment it is awaiting it's third (!) T25 turbo since we bought it.
This time I will be slapping some flex braided water and oil lines on, if not to reduce the chance of the turbo dying again, then just to make installation soooooo much easier. Still need to fix up the left engine mount and replace a ball joint rubber somewhere, the rest is just tidying up for it's long awaited trip to the east for some proper body work (not my bodging skills).

Nice work, hope you get it sorted soon.

That pic of the cam covers had me wondering!

I figure it should be MOT passable in 2 weeks time if I get all the turbo parts in by next weekend. At the moment it is burning oil bigtime. You dont notice it in the exhaust gasses, but I got totally gassed when an inlet pipe popped loose under pressure (which is another problem altogether.. need a flaring tool).

@Lauren: That was the idea ..Now I only need to find the time and will to spray the cam covers grey, and replace the ECCS badge on the plenum with a TVIS sticker, and slap some kind of 4AGE logo on the cam belt cover.

The exhaust I had made over @ Bastech by the way. Sounds more befitting my age than the old Megan racing fartcan. Big Grin
