How to save a cover rubber of gearbox shift ???
Hi, i searched in the forum but i didn't find it.

I put on a T3 quick shift, and all was Ok, but the problem is that Toyota hasn't for sale the cover rubber of gearbox shift (not the boot), And i can't find a way to remove the rubber of the original shift, because below has the "rolling ball" with biggest lever balls and above a thick tube Banging head

Anyone know how to extract it?

This is the rubber:

Thick tube above:

Thanks. Regards

You can only try to pull it over the "thick tube above" using dishwasher liquid, there is a 50% chance it breaks cause of age Tongue

But its not that bad if it breaks, the smaller boot beneath it is much more important, cause it keeps moist and dirt away from entering the gearbox!
The´re impossible to get of and always break.
I suggest this:

It fit´s Toyota K50/K40 boxes and should fit T50, too (same dimensions). If you find something cheaper let me (us) know!

if you dont care about your original shifter, heat the thick tube, it's only glued

It's not bad idea, it protects the rollin ball, but i'm looking for something to separate the interior pieces of the under outside, like you said, is so easy to break the rubber. So the boot is still available, part reference: 33555-12090

Boot on the T3 (i assured with a band flange)

Project D, i'll try it, i think i'll not reassemble the original

Thanks
