My little (not really...) project - Soon to be all done?!?
I'm slightly dissapointed with the dyno result:

(The hand drawn one - the other is a 16V with 258/262 cams and ITBs)

This is with intake box and kat from a swiess AE86. I'm pretty sure one of these is restricting the flow since the curve is so flat at high rpms. I'll have to do some experiments on this Smile

Hi again Jan.

Very happy news that your brand new "heart" at the body of your ae86 started beating, but very disappointing(as you said) that you didn't see the results you wanted on the dyno.
This is also frustrating for me cause i'm planning to do the same to my ae86(20v blacktop). Many say that a 16v is better than a 20v (at the end).

But anyway i want to ask something else does the 20v sits at the 16v engine bases?

Good luck with your experiments, waiting for the results.

stratos engine mounts are completely the same..20v fits like putting 16v in the engine bay....
jan..your engine is stock???can you tell me torque an hp on dyno?

Nice build Thumbs up!

I've got the 20V Silvertop but have no intake manifold box thingie. How did you build yours? Have any blueprints or sketches I can look at for guidance? Or just more photos of how it connects to the manifold?

And also, where does your air temp meter go?

Im going to be on the dyno soon, what were your cam specs on that motor? Actually, all the specs? Smile

StratosTRD: I did change the exhaust but I haven't got a dynoprint and the change is too small to notice. BTW I might have been slightly disapointed with the peak power but as you can see the mid end power is quite a bit better than my friends 16V.

Petros: 151 hp @ 7500 and 167 Nm @ 5300 rpm

Bentley: I haven't got anything on the box but I could do a couple of pics for you if you'd like...

4000GT: The 20V is all stock - only the stacks and flywheel has been changed. Stock cams are 252 degrees I think...

PS its equally likely its your cams and exhaust for the flat high rpm curve...

Would be awsome if you could take a couple of more pics of how it's mounted and such! Respect!
