why you have to shave that off the manifold? is your brak master cilinder hitting it?
( slightly off-topic, do you mind aram? ) |

Yes, it's on the way of the clutch cylinder and brake cylinder. I've cut it already but without any measurement and photo at the moment. Will keep you guys update. Regards, |

Made my own battleversion...ehh version.
Because I have no idea how much stress is going to be on it I went for 2767 tool steel, should be strong enough. Lathe: Test: Milling: Done: Test: Got the tap Friday, so it will be finished monday. Then, the engine and box go in the car for the first time!! Off course a new hole had to be cut in the tunnel, making an entry for the gearlever. Can cost you your wrists these drills: Still, not so bad: Presto! I drilled the spotwelds and massaged the brace back a bit, I really didn't want to cut it. But it turned out nice I think: And here it sits in the car on it's own: I pulled it out again and started disassembling the auxilaries for cleaning. Next time the engine goes in, it stays in. |

Nope, but I used brute force on the engine pushing it around and it never hit anything.
I kept a 5mm minimum clearing everywhere. |

Subframes are finished!
Engine parts are cleaned, painted and plated, engine is cleaned and the block is painted. Inlet manifold and valve covers are at the painter as we speak. Things are looking good atm Also blocked of the underside of the oilpan which I removed to make space for the steering rack. This is to prevent debris getting in the flywheel/clutch compartment. |

Right, finished the blocking of the underside of the oilpan, should do the trick:
Hammered the oilpan back in shape and painted it: Installed new clutch cilinder: I bought a TRD flywheel, half the weight of the original: Then this, the valve covers are painted, the 3SGE BEAMS White Top: More soon, I hope. |
