My 1986 ae86
So im starting to check the little problems i have
The dashboard back light isnt working: speed revs petro but climate interior light clock rear & front lights works. anyone an idea what this could be? When the engine is just starting the rpm is standing @ 2200 and after warmup @1000rpm,is this normal?(I thought arround 1500 was ok) update: i lowered it a bit, sits arround 800/900 rpm now Also im looking for the best points to lift the car on a (2 palen brug) 2 pole car bridge? in front right side of the T in back not so sure, hard to see since car is pretty low another picture http://i40.tinypic.com/243jkfs.jpg ? |

lets see:
dash backlight not working: broken rheostat in light switch. You can bypass it with a wire or fit another light switch. (it's the resistor that makes the light adjustable). RPM: 2200 is not unusual. Silly but true. Jack points: I try to avoid 2 pole bridges like the plague. They will leave your floor a dented mess. Best thing to do would be to make some slotted bits of wood that fit around the seem under the sills (where the original jack points are), then put the swing arms under those. Shouldnt be too difficult, but trust me it is worth it in the end. I've a couple of cars with dented chassis because of those crappy bridges. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |

thanks for the answers
Im making something like you said to protect the car. Its a wooden piece with some rubber om top of it to protect the seem under thejack point. 2 pole bridge is only option i had,not enough space. |

First one is the oil pressure connector. Try to catch besides de Oil Filter a small metal thinguie, that connector slides and locks there, to give you exactly the oil pressure level!
The second one, i got it myself hanging there, but with a cap... it must be for AC or Power steering... Regards |
