Just a guess when I look at your dyno curve, is you VVT acting as it should?
Had 2 blacktops before I came back to the 16V. Both only made 150-155 hp at the crank. was disappointed to! http://monkeymagic86.wordpress.com |

Yes the VVT is working ok. We fiddled a bit with it on the dyno

Mine made 157 HP / 167Nm @ flywheel (also stock). I didn't expect anything better than that. Toyota lies
 Your engine is fine I think. Maybe it just needs a little tweak here and there.

My hachi 20V ST produces 155 bhp on the rear wheels and 147Nm of tourque. Still needs some fiddling with to get it all to run smoothly.
Also, if you did have some close ups of the intake box, that would be awesome!!

Well I know that the dyno is rather conservative so its properbly around the same as most stock 20Vs. But you allways hope for a bit more

And back from the dead: A couple of friends and I just bought a Lexus IS/RS200 AZ6 gearbox each to fix the ratio isues of the T50.
The plan for now is to make an adaptor plate to fit between engine and gearbox or weld the T50 bellhouse to the AZ. The Leen kit looks great but is just way to expensive... Sarcasme is just one of the things I offer Daily driver: '92 Toyota Carina E GTI Rebuilt project: '86 Levin hatch

Great keep us updated on the box.
And the dyno is not bad either, i would scream from luck to have 167Nm from 1600cc, Not the th 145Nm i have now. Bentley how are the specs? Silvertop should have similar torque to the Bt. http://www.86ers.org All the hachies that Daytona can only dream about. |
