You don't need a big fuel pump, something near 100lph will do the trick just fine.
I think you can use one from honda car without modification (maybe the plug...)

Why do you want to change your pump by the way ?

For people who need a 255lph pump (if you don't have a big turbo setup with 250+ hp, you dont need this !) Bosch 040 is way better than a Walbro shit on ebay...

true but still overkill on almost any 4age.

just to put it in perspective a 100lph pump will suport 240hp easily and on top wont heat the fuel unnecessarily due to pumping silly amounts of it back to the tank.

A decent rule of thumb on fuel pumps.... 1 liter can support 2.5 hp...... BUT That is without considering wear. IDEALLY... figure about 2hp - 2.2hp per liter when wear is part of the calculations

The stock oem fuel pump is about 84 lph

9 out of 10 people who own a Walbro 255.... are just plain idiots Thumbs up!

True on NA car, but on turbo you have to consider that the flow drop with the pressure. A little bit too big pump is always better than run lean on boost I think.

If a stock pump makes 84l/h it is enough for about 200hp new. Could an engine loose a few hp becouse of a 27 years old fuel pump?

And BTW. Could I use a Honda S2000 pump in a stock AE86 petrol tank?

Yes you can lose few HP if the pump have lost a lot of flow.

For 200hp I would upgrade the fuel pump, especially if it a 27 years old pump Tongue

The easy rule to size your fuel pump:

Flow of your injectors x number of cylinders x 0.06
(0.06 -> x60: minute to hour, /1000: cc to liter)

Exemple for a blacktop:
295cc @ 3bar
295 x 4 x 0.06 = 70.8 l/h

So the minimum flow of your fuel pump should be 71l/h @ 3bar
(Personally I prefer to add 20 to 30% to this number as a safe margin)

Well...I dont think fuel pump can still make that much after all these years...Big Grin Big Grin
