probably an issue with the rewrite rules - nginx would be so awesome if it wouldn't need all that modifications for the non supported ht.access files

A bit short on info to answer that. You can try to clear your cookies for the site, that might help.

I have the same problem on Chrome my Mac from now and then and haven't been able to fix it yet.
On a sidenote: I'm looking into replacing the forum with newer software. No ETA on that yet.

in case you consider switching to vBulletin, I'm happy to donate an unused license I still have. Support has run out but it can be used non the less, security updates are still provided.

Personally I'm not really a bit fan of vBulletin because of professional experience with it, but I do appreciate the offer! Thumbs up!

It used to be a nice software and now gets worse with every release, that's why I stopped renewing the update support. I think the latest version 3 is pretty nice, 4 is manageable but already worse out of the box.

In case you need access to some files for testing let me know.

WHen i try to delete them i get the following error
